Mobile R-1234yf A/C Recharge in Miami

Professional R-1234yf recovery, evacuation and recharge for compatible cars, SUVs, light trucks and fleet vehicles. We bring specialized equipment to eligible Miami-Dade locations and charge the system to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified refrigerant weight.

Important: Warm air does not automatically mean that your vehicle only needs refrigerant. We inspect system performance first to determine whether recharge service, leak testing or another repair is appropriate.

Appointment availability depends on location, vehicle, weather and technician scheduling. Same-day service is not guaranteed.

How Much Does an R-1234yf Recharge Cost?

R-1234yf recharge pricing depends on the vehicle’s specified refrigerant capacity, the amount of refrigerant required, system condition and whether additional leak testing or repairs are needed.

A/C inspection

$100 for up to one hour

Initial performance testing helps determine whether the problem is low refrigerant, airflow, electrical control, compressor operation or another condition.

Recharge estimate

Vehicle-specific pricing

The estimate considers the manufacturer-specified refrigerant capacity and the service required to recover, evacuate and accurately recharge the system.

Approved repair

Inspection deposit may be applied

When applicable, the inspection payment is credited toward an approved repair performed within the estimate-validity period.

Recharge pricing is confirmed before additional work is performed. Refrigerant and repairs are not automatically included in the inspection fee.

What Our R-1234yf Recharge Service Includes

When testing confirms that recharge service is appropriate, the procedure may include:

  • Verification of the refrigerant type and under-hood refrigerant label
  • Initial vent-temperature and system-performance measurements
  • High-side and low-side pressure evaluation
  • Recovery of the existing refrigerant using compatible equipment
  • Evacuation and vacuum-hold evaluation
  • Recharge with R-1234yf to the manufacturer’s specified weight
  • Post-service vent-temperature, pressure and airflow testing
  • Explanation of any additional leak, airflow, compressor or electrical concerns found
Our charging standard: We charge by measured weight—not by guessing from gauge pressure and not by adding small cans until the air feels colder.

Is Your Vehicle Eligible for Mobile R-1234yf Service?

Requirement What we need
Correct refrigerant The vehicle must be designed for R-1234yf. We verify the under-hood label and available service information.
Safe work location A private driveway, private parking area or approved fleet property with enough space to work safely.
Vehicle access The vehicle, keys and an authorized adult must be available for the scheduled service.
System condition Known major leaks, collision damage or contamination may require additional diagnosis or repair before recharge.
Service area The appointment must be inside an eligible portion of our Miami-Dade mobile-service area.

Why R-1234yf Requires Specialized A/C Service

R-1234yf is used in many newer automotive A/C systems. It is not serviced as though it were interchangeable with R-134a.

Dedicated equipment

R-1234yf systems use refrigerant-specific service connections, recovery equipment and procedures.

Accurate charge weight

Many systems have relatively small refrigerant capacities. A meaningful weight error can affect pressure, cooling performance and compressor operation.

Contamination control

Incorrect refrigerant, stop-leak products or unapproved additives can complicate recovery, diagnosis and future service.

Do not identify refrigerant by model year alone. R-1234yf adoption varied by vehicle manufacturer and model. Check the under-hood label and manufacturer information before servicing the system.

Does Warm Air Mean the Vehicle Needs a Recharge?

Not necessarily. Low refrigerant is only one possible reason an A/C system stops cooling correctly.

Possible refrigerant problem

  • Refrigerant leak
  • Incorrect charge weight
  • Mixed or contaminated refrigerant

Possible airflow problem

  • Weak condenser fan operation
  • Restricted condenser airflow
  • Cabin airflow or evaporator icing problem

Possible component problem

  • Compressor-control problem
  • Expansion-device restriction
  • Sensor, module or electrical fault

If your A/C remains warm after being recharged, repeatedly loses cooling or only cools while driving, schedule an automotive A/C diagnostic inspection instead of adding more refrigerant.

Our Mobile R-1234yf Service Process

  1. Confirm the vehicle and refrigerant. We review the vehicle information and verify that the system is designed for R-1234yf.
  2. Evaluate system performance. We inspect vent temperature, pressures, compressor response, condenser airflow and other relevant operating conditions.
  3. Recover the existing refrigerant. Existing refrigerant is removed with equipment suitable for the system and its condition.
  4. Evacuate and evaluate the system. The system is placed under vacuum and monitored. Additional leak testing may be recommended when necessary.
  5. Recharge to factory specification. The correct R-1234yf charge is installed by measured weight according to the vehicle specification.
  6. Verify the result. We retest pressure behavior, vent temperature, condenser airflow and overall cooling performance.
If testing reveals a component failure, significant leak or contamination, we explain the findings and obtain authorization before performing additional repairs.

Why R-1234yf Must Be Charged by Exact Weight

Refrigerant pressure changes with ambient temperature, humidity, system load, compressor command and airflow. For that reason, gauge pressure alone cannot confirm that the correct refrigerant quantity is inside the system.

Undercharge

An undercharged system may produce weak cooling, insufficient refrigerant flow and abnormal compressor operation.

Overcharge

Excess refrigerant may increase pressure, reduce condenser capacity and prevent the system from operating as designed.

Correct charge

Recovering and recharging by manufacturer-specified weight provides a known baseline for accurate performance testing.

We do not install customer-supplied refrigerant and do not recharge vehicles using disposable small cans.

What If the R-1234yf System Has a Leak?

Automotive A/C refrigerant is contained in a closed system. If the charge becomes low, refrigerant has usually escaped through a leak or previous service loss.

A vacuum-hold evaluation is useful, but it is not conclusive proof that the system is leak-free. Some leaks appear only under positive pressure, during operation or when components change temperature.

Depending on the symptoms and system condition, further testing may include electronic refrigerant detection, UV-dye inspection, component inspection or another manufacturer-appropriate procedure.

When a significant leak is confirmed, repairing the cause is more reliable than repeatedly adding refrigerant.

What If R-134a or Another Product Was Added?

Do not continue adding refrigerant or additives. R-134a and R-1234yf should not be intentionally mixed. Incorrect refrigerant, stop-leak products or other additives can contaminate the charge and complicate safe recovery and accurate diagnosis.

If another shop or vehicle owner may have installed R-134a because it was less expensive, refrigerant identification should be performed before connecting standard recovery equipment.

R-1234yf Recharge Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know whether my car uses R-1234yf?

Check the refrigerant label under the hood. It normally identifies the refrigerant type and specified charge weight. We verify this information before servicing the system.

How much does an R-1234yf recharge cost?

Pricing depends on the vehicle’s refrigerant capacity, system condition and the work required. The initial A/C inspection is $100 for up to one hour. A service estimate is provided before additional work.

Can you add R-1234yf without recovering the existing charge?

We do not blindly add refrigerant based only on pressure. When recharge service is appropriate, recovering the existing charge and recharging to the specified weight creates a reliable baseline.

Does a vacuum test prove that there are no leaks?

No. A vacuum-hold evaluation can reveal some leaks, but certain leaks appear only under positive pressure, during operation or when components change temperature. Additional testing may be required.

Can R-134a be used instead because it is less expensive?

No. R-134a should not be intentionally installed in a system designed for R-1234yf. Doing so creates a contaminated refrigerant charge and can complicate recovery, diagnosis and future service.

Will a recharge fix A/C that is blowing warm?

Only if incorrect refrigerant charge is the cause. Warm air may also result from a leak, airflow restriction, cooling-fan problem, compressor-control fault, expansion-device issue or electrical failure.

Do you provide mobile service everywhere in Miami-Dade?

Service is available only in eligible Miami-Dade areas and requires a safe private work location. Homestead, Cutler Bay, areas south of Zoo Miami and certain southern Kendall locations are currently outside the standard service area.

Can I supply my own refrigerant?

No. We do not install customer-supplied refrigerant, disposable small cans, stop-leak products or unverified additives.
