A restricted orifice tube would cause a lower than normal low-side pressure. A restricted orifice tube may cause frosting of the tube. The restriction will cause a greater than normal pressure drop that can lead to the refrigerant vaporizing at that point .Vaporization of the refrigerant will produce cold enough temperatures to cause frosting.
