How to replace an ac accumulator.

Removal

1. Use a refrigerant recovery machine (For the specific refrigerant in the a/c system) to safely recovery/recycle the refrigerant.
2. Remove the evaporator tube nut from the evaporator.
3. Remove the evaporator tube from the evaporator.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C low pressure switch.
5. Remove the compressor hose nut from the accumulator.
6. Remove the compressor hose from the accumulator.
7. Remove the nut from the evaporator fitting.
8. Remove the accumulator.
9. Remove the retaining bracket bolt.
10. Remove the retaining bracket from the accumulator.
11. Remove and discard the O-ring seals.

Installation

1. Install the O-ring seals.
2. Lubricate new O-rings.
3. Install the retaining bracket to the accumulator.
4. Install the retaining bracket bolt.
5. Install the accumulator.
6. Install the accumulator bracket nut.
7. Install the nut the evaporator fitting.
8. Install the compressor hose to the accumulator.
9. Install the compressor hose nut to the accumulator.
10. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C low pressure switch.
11. Install the nut to the evaporator tube.
12. Install the evaporator tube to the evaporator.
13. Install the evaporator tube nut to the evaporator.
14. Evacuate and recharge the system.
15. Leak test the fittings of the component.
